TENACIOUS. PASSIONATE. HUMAN.

3-time NHL All Star Shayne Corson never ran from a fight — whether that was a battle in front of the net or taking on the real life challenges of anxiety and depression.

For 19 seasons, one of Midland, Ontario’s favourite sons led and scored Montreal, Edmonton, St. Louis, Toronto and Dallas. Drafted eighth overall in the ’84 Entry Draft by the Canadiens, he was a staple on the left wing, adding points and keeping opponents honest with his penalty minute totals. In total, he played 1,156 goes, and played an important role for Team Canada in Olympic Games, Canada Cup and World Cups.

Shayne’s work since his retirement from the game has been as important as his time on the ice. He has transformed challenges with panic, anxiety and depression into a powerful voice for mental health.
